Today I was doing a self checkout at the grocery and typed in the wrong code for a couple of nut items that are sold by weight. As a result, my bill was 10$ less. The person sitting there saw that and approached me and checked a lot of things that I had bought. Everything else was fine. She removed the faulty items and put the right code and let me go. I paid the right entire amount using a credit card. I walked out of the grocery store and came back home without any trouble. My question is, would they still try to charge me with something? more specifically, can they have a criminal case against me? Can they use the credit card to track me down?
