Default International Extradition Over Criminal Charges

My ex-wife has accused me of 2 assaults in USA:

1 - Simple Assault (this one I knew because I was in USA).

2 - Assault Causing Bodily Harm (for a broken nose). This assault I was charged when I was in UK already.

This assault, according to my wife, took place 2 years before we broke up (when she started these made up accusations).

However, this assault never happened. I have never broken her nose. She never went to a hospital for this matter. She doesn't have a medical report for the broken nose nor an x-ray. She had never used any kind of device on her nose!

So, how can they charge me for this...one that I wasn't even there to defend myself against this accusation...and without an x-ray proven that her nose was broken?

I do not have a prior criminal record...so If I am found guilty what sentence I could face for those charges in the worst case scenario?

Could they issue an international warrant for my arrest?

Will the USA request my extratition from the UK?

Can I travel freely to Europe?

    Thank you...

If the police receive a credible report of a crime, they can ask a prosecutor to authorize charges. If you wish to deny the charges, you may do so.

The maximum penalty for a crime depends upon the exact crime charged.

If you wish to try to avoid prosecution by fleeing the country, you will have to wait and see what (if any) steps they take to bring you back. Whether or not they are able to do so depends upon the offense charged and the U.S.-U.K. extradition treaty. Assuming that the charge is sufficient to justify extradition under the treaty, whether or not it is sought is up to the prosecutor.

    These were the exactly charges:

    1 - Simple Assault.

2 - Assault Causing Bodily Harm (for a broken nose).

I have no prior criminal record...and I am a nurse.

    I am in UK already...

I missed my court date...and, base on this, the judge probably issued a warrant for my arrest in North America.

Is it worth to USA to request my extratition from UK for such unimportant crimes...

What could be the maximum and minimum penalty for those crimes... Does someone know...

    Can I travel freely...

    Thanks!
