My husband just returned home from a year tour in Iraq on November 10, 2005. Upon his return home he was relocated to Ft Carson. He and both our sons are currently living there at this time. Because I am on probation I was unable to leave the state of Texas without Colorado approving me to live there. I have been trying to get this done since I submitted my request in November 2005. My paperwork is now in Colorado and I have been told it could be another 60-90 days before I am given approval to go there. Everything I own is now in Colorado with my husband and two boys. All I have here now is an empty house and a suitcase full of clothing. I desperately want to be with my family again and as soon as it is possible. Does anyone know anything I can do to help push my paperwork through? I have read the online interstate compact information about the requirements for being eligible for transfer and I believe I won't be denied. It's just so hard being separated from my husband and kids for so long and I am looking for any ideas that might help push it along.
