My question involves divorce in the State of: Florida or Washington
Im not sure how to go about this at all. I have been married to my husband for a little over two years. He has undergone a massive overhall of personality since I have been with him. At this point I dont know hot to justify staying with him. We were married in Washington state before he joined the air force. I need to file for devorce and get the paper work underway but Im not sure I can afford an attourney what do you supose the odds are we can get this over without having to pay some one to mediate for us? and how would I even go about getting something like this done?
Also, Im relitivly sure that he was depressed before i met him, though he was sublimly happy while we were dateing. However since then he has been unbaribly depressed, i finally convinced him into counciling and they say now that he has had a low level of depression through his whole life... But he was never diagnosed with it or had ever even seen any one about it before we were married.
Have you lived in Florida for at least 6 months?

If you have, you can file for a divorce in FL. However, all counties now require mediation of any contested issues. You do not have to hire an attorney. You can file pro-se here are some links that will help you:

It sounds like your husband has been diagnosed with dysthymia, it's a low level depression that is always there and never really goes away. If you and your husband are willing to work together, maybe you should get couples counseling. Dysthymia can be controlled with therapy and meds.
