    Default Kinda Says It All

    Date: Wednesday, October 29, 2008, 8:43 AM
The Pope is visiting DC, and Sarah Palin takes him out for an afternoon on the Potomac. They're admiring the sights when, all of a sudden, the Pope's hat blows off his head and out into the water. Secret service guys start to launch a boat, but Palin waves them off, saying 'Wait, wait. I'll take care of this. Don't worry.'

Palin steps onto the surface of the water and walks out to the Holy Father's little hat, bends over and picks it up, then walks back. She hands the hat to the Pope amid stunned silence.

The next morning, the Washington Post, NY TImes, ABC News, CBS News, NBC News, and CNN carry a story, complete with photos of the event. The banner headline reads: 'Palin Can't Swim!'

In terms of what she can and cannot do.... I am curious.

I forgot how much foreign policy experience Bill Clinton had from his home in Little Rock? How about Reagan's? Or Jimmy Carter's from Plains, Georgia?

Or, even, how much foreign policy experience friend Obama has? How much international exposure do community organizers enjoy?

On the other hand, knowing that if Russia had so much fun invading Georgia that MY state was next on the menu would be quite a thought. Of course, Clinton had to worry about those darn Cajuns next door... but we all have our problems, right?

There has been, prior to this election, a long line of governors going to the executive office. All of a sudden, being a junior senator from Ill. trumps running a statewide government.

Let's see... Jefferson, Monroe, Tyler, Van Buren, Johnson, Cleveland, McKinley, Wilson, Coolidge and Roosevelt .... along with the above mentioned Carter, Reagan, Clinton and Bush. Oops, almost forgot Polk, Hayes, and Teddy Roosevelt!!!

Let's see... how many community organizers... hmmm... let me get back to you..

The ONLY thing that Clinton had to worry about was if the humador was stocked and if the Secret Service was in their jammies, tucked in, and off to la-la land.

What's so damned funny is Clinton looks like an FDR or Reagan next to our current choices.

..and please be with the starvin' pygmies down there in New Guinea - Amen
