Default Haven't Gotten My Notice in the Mail

My question involves a speeding ticket from the State of: California

I was pulled over on Thursday October 2, 2008 (10/2/2008) and have yet to get my notice in the mail. I got pulled over for a 22349(a), was doing 85 in a 65. The court date on the ticket states 11/11/2008 at 8am in Lamont California. The issue with that being is I live in Los Angeles area and driving 100 miles to court does not sound appealing. So is the notice running late, or am I probably not getting one?

Another question I had was I got the ticket going over the Grape Vine, probably in the area or Gormen. The ticket says Kern County, but don't LA County and Kern border that area? Any chance of a change of venue between the two?

The reverse of the ticket says I can contact the court for bail information, do I called a direct line at the proposed court or wha...? Kinda lost on this.

    Thanks.

If you have not been mailed your courtesy notice in the mail the contact the court by telephone (the # should be on your ticket). The courts are not required to send anything in the mail, though, they do send you something a majority of the time.

Okay I got my notice today, 10/29/08, but oh great its due 10/31/08. Bail is $200 and it says I have to call and ask about Traffic School.

So if payment is due by Friday, does the 'Western Union' "Quick Collect" work for that, or can I fax in my credit card info. I'm calling in the morning to figure it all out, but if anyone can answer now then all the better.
