My question involves a speeding ticket from the State of: Virginia
Ok. Here's my problem. And please bare with me because I'm currently geeking out.
Back in Feb./Mar. I got my first speeding ticket. I paid it because, went to driving school, and that was that.
Last Saturday, i got my second speeding ticket. it was a 69/40, on interstate 460, where the speed limit was formerly 60 but it dropped quickly.
Today, i got my third speeding ticket. This time on I-81. Again, about 15 over.
On Saturday's ticket, I was traveling from a homeless shelter back to campus (Virginia Tech). On tonight (Sunday's) ticket, I was traveling back home from Fredericksburg to Virginia Tech, after a weekend at home.
Now, I'm employed on internship by DHS. I'm also physically handicapped (I use hand controls) - I use a wheelchair to get around, due to paraplegia. Obviously, also a college student. I do SO much service, for both my community and the school. I plan to fight both of these tickets in court. What are the likelihood of me getting them dismissed, and what angle should I work with the judge? Would it work if I maybe met with the officers beforehand? I've heard of this working, outside of the officers not showing up for court thus the ticket being dismissed.
I need alot of help here - Also, on the third ticket I changed my mailling address to the school address I have in Blacksburg. Is there anyway my parents will find out about this ticket? I already told them about the one on Saturday. I'm under their insurance. I'm just hoping it doesn't get reported to them until I go to court.
please help. Thanks! btw, i'm 18. I don't know if being underage has any effect on this.
