My question involves criminal law for the state of: Virginia
Hi, I am 18 years old and I currently attend GMU and last night I was walking back from a party with some friends after we had stopped to get something to eat. We were walking on the main road of the University (which was a bad decision on our part among others), when my one of my friends threw up out of nowhere. Just as this was happening, a university police unit happened to be driving by and saw him puking. He put on his flashers, pulled over and confronted all four of us. He walked up and said he could smell the alcohol on our breath so he started asking us if we had been drinking. We were all very honest and cooperative and told him everything that had went down that night and how much we had all drank. He breathalyzed us and I blew a .086. This was my very first alcohol offense and I have a completely clean record otherwise, with not even any traffic violations. I was wondering what I should expect at my court date (which two of my friends both got on the same date and same time, so I'm guessing it is a bunch of us at once that go in) and what possible punishments I could face.

I was not holding any alcoholic beverages and I am not a resident on the campus.
