My question involves criminal law for the state of: Colorado
My boyfriend, who is on parole, was put in jailed in june for a supposed assault charge. I bailed him out and he told his parole officer. He was put in jail in july until the charge was dismissed/further action was taken. It's been almost 4 months that he's been in jail. There is a plea bargain for harrassment that he plans to take (instead of being found guilty of assault). His parole officer said he'll have to go to state prison for at least a day. In the mean time he's in county jail. The parole board will consider time served. Any idea about how much time we're looking at? He's parole is up in March. They shouldnt keep him that long for a petty charge right?
