I have had my green card for over 27 years. Since I became a PR of US, I travel back and forth between US and Taiwan for work. Most of the time, my stay in the US is less than 6 month at a time (maybe 1 or 2 trips at 2 month each). Now that I am 68 years old, I want to get my US citizenship. However, since I have not met the strict 5 years 30 month rule, I am not sure if I need to wait. For the past 3 years or so, I have been staying more and more in the US (4-5 months per year). Is there any exception for cases in my condition?
Does any one know? My wife is a citizen, and we have been married for over 40 years. My two children are both citizen and lives in US as well. My residence is in MI.
