ACD CPL 170.55

charged with shoplifting in N.Y., got a lawyer who helped me get an Adjournment Contemplation of Dissmissal (ACD). I am in a medical proffession, the hospital wants a criminal background check report and wants me to sign a release of information form.
Will my arrest information show up at all? How much info can they find out and what would be the consequeses?

I recieved an ACD, do I have a criminal record?

What are civil penalties?

I got some letter from the store for me to pay them $$$, but at the time my lawyer advised not to?

I'm not familiar with an ACD but since you have a lawyer he'd be the one to answer all your questions, that's what you paid for make him earn it.

Thank you for your reply, I am no longer in contact with this lawyer since its been a couple of years.

If someone knows about the Adjournment contemplation dissmissa(ACD) please let me know if that allows one to have a criminal record?

Did you pay the store what they were asking? You might do a search of the law on line to see if you find anything, or see if you know somebody who knows somebody......ya know? Sorry, I don't know what else to recommend.
