My question involves criminal law for the state of: Indiana
Ok well i know of a 28 year old male that had text conversations with a girl when she was 16 going on 17 and he was 27 and the girl in question is now 17 going on 18..this has been over a year ago and he has an ex that is threatening to turn him for Stadugory..rape..though he never had sexual intercourse with her. He had just talked to her about sexual situations via text. And my question is what is the law on that with a 16 year old. or the statute of limitations...Or anything on this manner at all. I mean any information if any will help me in this question...

I don't see how he could be charged with statutory rape, given that it was only text conversation.

However, in the future, your friend would do well to not be so blazingly STUPID and find a girl who isn't jailbait.
