My question involves landlord-tenant law in the State of: Florida
I just recently moved into an apartment complex. By the time I get home from work there is never any parking. There is no assigned parking, no guest parking, just first come first serve. By my count the number of "free" parking spots in the complex doesn't even equal the number of units, let alone that most units have 2 cars registered (at least by my conversation with neighbors), and additional guests. I say free because there exists additional spots available for rent either under an overhang for $50 or a garage for
$100. Is this even legal not to have enough parking spots?
On a side note, I also just recieved a parking violation for $25 by a parking company that basically drives through at night looking for violators for not having an expired tag. As I just moved in, not all my mail has been forwarded in a timely fashion, including my vehicle registration form. Though my tag was expired the car was actually registered, I just hadn't recieved the decal. Does this ticket still hold up? I'm sure if they had the capacity to run the plate number they would have seen that its current.
