    Default Judgement Exemption

My question involves judgment recovery in the State of:Mississippi I have a business that i am closing. I have debtors that are filling against my
bussiness and some may file against me personally. I am in the process of putting my homstead property in my wifes name with a quit claim deed.
Will the property and contents be exempt from the judgements?

    Default Re: Judgement Exemption

If you convey property in order to impoverish yourself, such that a creditor cannot pursue you, you risk having the transfer be deemed a "fraudulent conveyance", potentially costing both you and the recipient of the property any exemption you might otherwise have enjoyed from the collection effort. So talk to your lawyer before you try this.
