Default deportation after felony drug conviction

spouse deported after felony drug conviction in florida, banned for life, its been five years since deportation. is their any type of relief for this type of situation. we are married 14 years and have four kids. he was ten year permanent resident at time of conviction. he was told you could write to the governor and apply for reentry after 5 years. i am not familiar with ins laws and restrictions. any advise would be appreciated. i have a foia form to mail in, not sure how much info that will give me.

    Default Hardship

Perhaps you could consider a hardship petition... but with a lifetime ban over a drug offense, the odds of it being granted seem rather low. You should consult an immigration lawyer.
