    Default I Want to Emancipate When I Turn 16

    I need some help here. I dont really know what to do. I am 13 but i know already that when i turn 16 i want to get emancipated. I love my folks but i want to get away as soon as possible. They are goin to get a divorce and I dont want to have to pick which one i want to live with. I will have somewhere to live and I will still be in school. So what do I do? Since I live with them wont it get harder when the real thing goes on? I guess i just want someone who has been through this to tell me how it was.     Default Emancipation

    Emancipation laws vary by state, and not all states permit emancipation. Perhaps you should discuss your situation with a guidance counselor at school.
