I'm twenty years and from Oklahoma, and have never know my real father. My mother married my step father when I was three, and I was placed on his social security until their divorce, when I was sixteen. I was never legally adopted, because the way they stated it when I was a child is that I would be just changing my last name. I didn't want to do this, because I wanted my last name to be the same as my brothers. If I had been legally adopted, there would be no need for help. So I have a court date later this month, and need help building a case. Their stance is that when they divorced, it ended the SS. I would have never gotten a chance at this case, but a SS inspector thought that I should be entitled to His SS, so here I am. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
