Default Moving Out at Age of 17

My question involves juvenile law in the State of: Georgia

Well I am currently 17 and I will be 18 in January. I wanted to know if I can move out and live with my friend. I am in my last year of high school and I will still be attending school until I graduate in May.

I have been working for a cell phone company called Metro PCS for a year and 2 months already. I plan on saving my money this month to get my own apartment. For about 10 months already, I have been paying my cell phone bill, car insurance, clothes, and paid for my car myself. From what I know, I am legal age to get an apartment in my name.

I just wanted to make sure that even though my mother may not agree with me moving out, is she able to take any legal action against me?

You cannot legally move out until you're 18! If you do, your mother can report you as a runaway and have you returned. Whomever you are living with at the time can also be changed with harboring a runaway.

More specifically, charges would appear possible under Georgia Code Sec. 16-12-1, "Contributing to the delinquency, unruliness, or deprivation of a minor".
