But, in Washington, there's no requirement that you be given notice of the reasons for termination. And some how the divorce thing came to my mind when I was typing it. *shrug*

Oh you mean an "at will" state, I see.

Some states though, if they have service letter laws, do mandate the employer give a reason for termination. Unknown if WA is one.

If you file suit OR sign up for unemployment, the reason must be crystal clear the employer gives.
