my friend has been in the US for more than 12 years. he was convicted of two misdemeanor class c charges. His dogs got loose out of the back yard. He paid a fine of $252 per charge and he was charged for two dogs. His yard was fenced in, but the dogs got out. he plead no contest, thinking this was just like paying a ticket. the charges were not listed with the local county. Is this something that could keep him from getting his green card renewed which will expire in a few months. he has a biometric appointment, and is wondering if these offenses should be mentioned during the appointment and what is chances are that this will result in a denial of the green card renewal - I-90? Any help you can provide would be appreciated. I am also wondering if the background check would even find this charge, since he was not arrested. He just went in to pay the fine (similar to a traffic ticket).
