Default Is Moving Out Against the Law?

I am a Junior in High School and all of my friends are Seniors. My best friend is moving out in the beginning of February (she will be 18). I live with my mother and my 9y/o brother, who has some anger issues. Because of this it causes a lot of stress and depression and my mother knows this. I've approached her about the idea of moving in with my best friend, and she is considering the idea. What I'm asking is what would be the complications of moving out and not being emancipated by the law? Would the police enforce the law and force me to live with my mother?

If you have parental consent you may live outside your parent(s) home

The law only says that you cannot move out WITHOUT permission. There is no law prohibiting you from moving out WITH permission.
