My question involves a background check in the State of: Tennessee, I have a Felony possibly on my record for something that I did in 2005. I haven't committed any other crimes or anything since thing (one time offense) It has been 3 years now and the judge have decided to place me on a 2-year Diversion Program. I am kind of confused because my probation officer told me that certain Job second chance programs i apply two will not allow me to enter because I really haven't been convicted of a felony. So My question is how do I get a job while i am on a diversion program and will it show up on my background check as a diversion or just felony-felony-felony?????
I have interviewed at Burlington Coat Factory here in Memphis,Tn and everything is going great so far. I have a second interview Monday September 29th. I have to take my application up to the District Manager along with my release for a background check. I am not sure how to respond to the question of a conviction on the application, because i haven't been convicted and i am on a diversion. So what is my solution to tell this employer if it come back negative and I need do i need to check a Felony conviction on the application????
