Is There a Simple Form for Emancipation if Parents Are Willing to Emancipate

My question involves emancipation laws for the State of: Louisiana

I am 18 years old and I no longer live with my parents. In Louisiana a person is considered a dependent no mater what unless you are:
A) Over the age of 25
B) Married
C) Have a child that relies on 1/3 of your income
D) Are legally emancipated

A,B,and C are NOT my options. I need my independence for financial reasons. Is there a form that I can have my parents simply sign to declare my independence?

If your parents are allowing the emancipation. You should be able to go to the court and request the proper paper work.

For Financial Aid you will have to talk to your Financial Advisor at the school you are apply to or enrolling at, try to see what steps they say to take to prove you are not dependent on your parents.
