I'm a resident of California, I'm green card holder for about twelve 12yrs and my mother became a US citizen back in 2001. i wan to become a citizen but whats gonna be the outcome because i want to apply for the passport and citizenship. i haven't been convicted for the crime yet but i have a court date coming up in two weeks. should i apply and see what happens? is my record gonna show this quick for them to deny me?

A single DUI generally is not going to torpedo your citizenship application.

Just answer all questions that you're asked honestly - both on the application and later in the interview,

If you're still worried, talk to an immigration attorney.
