Default Landlord That Wants to Move into Rental with Us

My question involves landlord-tenant law in the State of: California

I am renting a room in a house with 7 other girls. The landlord does not live in the house. Can the landlord come anytime she wants and stay? I came home the other night with my boyfriend and my landlord was in the living room watching tv. One of the girls is moving out and the landlord wants to move in now. What rights do I have?

You are renting only one room in the house? What does your lease say? Odds are, you rented only a room and access to common areas. Does it give you any veto rights over who inhabits the other rooms?
