I got my a DUI a offense back in july of 2008 with no other crimes. I'm a resident of California, I've had my green card now for about twelve 12yrs and my mother became a US citizen back in 2001. i wan to become a citizen but whats gonna be the outcome because i want to apply for the passport and citizenship. i haven't been convicted for the crime yet but i have a court date coming up in two weeks. should i apply and see what happens? is my record gonna show this quick for them to deny me?

Right now, work with a good lawyer to try to get the best possible outcome on the pending charge. This shouldn't disqualify you from citizenship but, as you have probably guessed, any criminal activity can potentially cause problems or create delays.
