My question involves an auto loan or repossession in the State of: Texas

I found out my wifes car has been repossed and put to auction. (Upset husband who may need a divorce attorney who deals in stupidity cases). I found out when my auto loan with Capital One was declined and then went home to confront the wife. The car is in her name and Capital One would not release any info to let me buy it before auction occurred. We do not have any joint accounts or loans together, including the mortgage.
1)What is my liability as a spouse and can Capital One come after me?
2) I assume Capital One can decline my loan because of what happened; I would too! But can they affect my credit score ratings with this situation, now that i have to get a dealer loan for the auto I ordered?
3) Can i legally sell the wife for the difference (joke)?
