My question involves a roommate in the State of: California
My roommate has not paid his share of the rent in the past and I am unable to continue paying when he doesn't have the money. Our one year lease has gone month to month. Both our names are on the original lease. We've lived there over 6 years. I don't want to have to give 30 days notice and move to a new apartment because I won't be able to replace what I'm currently living in at the same price. It's a rent controled apartment in Los Angeles. I don't want to make him move, but I have to have a roommate who can pay his share. Do I have any options, other than moving out?
