There ain't no understanding to it buddy.....some of them could give an entire semester's worth of case-study college cirriculum to any given psych class......and there would still be no solution/resolution attained!

Just a bunch of students leaving classrooms everyday scratchin' their head and mutterin' "what the f.......!!!"

    Power
    Greed
    some forms of pornography
    Opiates
    Alkaloids (nicotine, cocaine)
Of your list, only two are drugs, two are human faults, and one is a form of publication. And, going by your list, I see that power, greed and porno are more important than having crackheads and meth & heroin addicts in your neighborhood.

Personally, I would rather live near power-hungry, greedy porno watching drag queens than have the others nearby.

You already have crackheads, meth addicts and heroin/opiate addicts living in your neighborhood - and alcoholics. And I can safely assert that to be the case, no matter where you live.

Not all drug abusers fit the stereotype hogwash we see on TV.

I couldn't agree more. Maybe I am being too hard on them, but I'm tired of it. Every law they've tried so far has failed miserably, locking them away does no good as they get out return to the lifestyle that cost us billions every year

Dying a slow death seems inhumane. I, for one, am in favor of ataking them "behind the barn" and putting them out of our misery.

No, not all do. Marion Barry isn't the stereotypical crackhead, DeLorean isn't the typical cocaine dealer and the school principle isn't the average heroin addict.

But, generally speaking, the one creeping around your house at night, lounging in business' lawns during the day and urinating in the alleyway is the normal addict.

The police that ride right by and the judges that release them early are helping the situation grow, as are the bleeding heart, teary eyed people that scream these people don't deserve to be locked up because they are sick.

They are NOT sick. They chose to try it, they make the first choice knowing high probability rates for addiction and they are the engineers of their own demise. In the meantime, we are forced to deal with them and the personal losses they create for us.

    No charge.

I know about addiction, I went through it. I started with drugs at a very young age and struggled trying to quit and better my life. I smoked pot, shot heroin, snorted and smoked coke. I made mushroom tea for myself and friends and every morning for three years, I went to school drunk of vodka and orange juice {screw driver}.

By the time I was 19, I was burned out and couldn't maintain a thought, much less a life. But, I made it and all it took was more effort; alot more effort. At 23, I was completely clean and dry. I am still working on smoking cigarettes at 43.

So, the little I know comes from first hand expirience. At from living in the lower income side of town, I have seen those that have no desire to stop what they are doing. They live for the high everyday and what I have, they take. Then they go to jail, the system lets them out and I [we]suffer the losses again. I know I am not alone.

Just the same, people are tired when it comes to failed treatments, refusal of intervention and weak justice systems not attempting to solve the problem. People are tired of replacing auto glass busted to steal stereos or something a small as sunglasses.

People are tired of these addicts panhandling money day in and day out and getting rude and violent when they are refused.

Yea, I made my choice and I paid my price, but I broke it because I wanted to. But those that do not want to change their ways, I have no regard for.

So you're telling us that we would be better off had somebody taken you "'behind the barn' and" put you "out of our misery"? Interesting.
