If you voted for GWB in 2000/2004? I mean now that GWB's stupidity has now become legendary both nationally and on the world stage, I'd think that anyone who voted for him would have great regrets in doing so, asking themselves if their judgment is sound.
Sadly, this forum software does not have a poll-posting feature, so we can't get a numerical analysis on the number of people having this kind of feeling about themselves.
For those of you who may not be familiar with the extent to which our President's brain has been damaged, these are just a few samples that suggest a severe and profound compromise of his cognitive thinking abilities:
- "We need an energy bill that encourages consumption."
- "When Iraq is liberated, you will be treated, tried, and persecuted as a war criminal."
- "I promise you I will listen to what has been said here, even though I wasn't here."
- "General Musharraf of Pakistan is a Democrat"
- "Redefining the role of the United States from enablers to keep the peace to enablers to keep the peace from peacekeepers is going to be an assignment."
- "Natural gas is hemispheric. I like to call it hemispheric in nature because it is a product that we can find in our neighborhoods."
- "The inhabitants of Greece are Greecians"
- "The vast majority of our imports come from outside the country"
- "If we donīt succeed, we run the risk of failure"
- "The future will be better tomorrow"
- "We have a firm commitment to NATO, we are a part of NATO. We have a firm commitment to Europe, we are a part of Europe"
- "We're going to have the best educated American people in the world"
- "It isn't pollution that's harming the environment. It's the impurities in our air and water that are doing it"
- "It's time that the human race enter the solar system"
- "Republicans understand the importance of bondage between mother and child."
Indeed, this not-by-any-means-exhaustive list would be embarrassing by any metric if it weren't so sad. And from a clinical standpoint, sad it is.![]()
