Default Applying As a Spouse or Long Term Residence?

    Hi,
I'm looking to become a US citizen, I have had a Green Card for more than five years and have been married (for over three years) to a US citizen...presumably I could apply using either of these ie long term residence or as a spouse of a US citizen. is there a difference in terms of wait times? would you recommend one over the other for any reason?
    many thanks.

You qualify either way - the difference is in the forms filed.

Start your reading here, and be certain to look over the forms mentioned in the brochure here.
