My question involves divorce in the State of: Tennessee
I am still trying to figure out how to divorce my wife who resides in Israel (I live in Knoxville, TN). Nobody has given me any adequate resources to begin this process. I am a college graduate student (very, very poor) and cannot afford an attorney. I need help and all I have been told is "File for divorce." What does this mean. I called the courthouse and they said the same thing but could not tell me what this means other than to get an attorney, which I cannot pay for. I went to Legal Aid of East TN/Pro Bono Project and they said they could not help me because she lived out of the country. What are my options here? This is so frustrating for me. We both want to get on with this and the divorce is uncontested. What can I do? I need help!
