My question involves criminal law for the state of: Peach State (georgia)
Ok, so I was convicted of shopplifting for amount under $300, which is a misdemenor. My punishment was 40 hrs of CS, 558 dollar fine, Values Clarification course, and probation until all is completed. I have finished my cs hours and my values class. I have my next probation date on Sept 19th and I plan to pay my fine off then. I will completed all terms of the court. They said that this will not turn up on background checks for employment purposes. Is it possible for jobs to see my record containing shoplifting, and also how long will it take after I finish my paying my fine to be off my record?
Thanks in advance!
