My question involves criminal law for the state of: Texas
i have a 1st degree felony and a state felony
aggravated assualt
evading arrest w/ motor vehicle
got 4 yrs probation deferred adj.
I am considering my options which both seem crappy. this is a young and dumb screw up ordeal and want a new life.
If i get revoked how long will i be in jail? for the remainder of time i'm supposed to be on probation? less? or 4 year sentence? or since felonies are running concurrent will it be 8 years? If I go to jail I would always have a felony record, correct???
If i abscond, move somewhere: mexico, canada, austrailia, etc... will i be extradited back to usa? i think austrailia wont extradite to usa but im not sure if they would even let me in to the country. i fully understand i would't be able to come back to usa, but i want a new life anyway.
I understand that i screwed up in life, and leaving isnt the manly thing to do but i feel that this small town will be nothing but trouble for me for the rest of my life if i stay here anyway. My parents were screw ups (dead now) and my family has a reputation here... I dont think i will ever have a peaceful life here.
Also... my original life plan was for me and my wife to be a truck driving team until retirement. will I even be able to do this after getting out of jail with a felony record?
