    Default Emancipation

    My question involves emancipation laws for the State of:

    I live in Kentucky i am 17 getting ready to ture 18 in 6 months both of my parents are dead i am thinking about getting Emancipation because i live with my Grandmother which is getting to where she cant take care of me anymore. which i have a job and i go to school and i pay bills to help my grandmother out. and i dont want my uncle to be my legal Guardian. what are the steps to become Emancipation, how long it takes, and how much it may cost. help me!!!!!!!!!!!

    You'd be 18 before any emancipation action could be completed - if Kentucky even had statutory provisions for emancipation. Which it does not.

    Emancipation is not an option for you.
