Unhappy Union Contract vs Company Policy Handbook

My question involves employment and labor law for the state of: NEW YORK I WAS TERMINATED FROM A JOB OF OVER 15 YAERS FOR BREAKING A COMPANY POLICY. I HAD NEVER BEEN WRITTEN UP FOR ANYTHING DURING THIS TIME AND FEEL TERMINATION WAS A BIT HARSH.UNOIN CONTRACT SAYS AN EMPLOYEE CANT LOSS HIS OR HER JOB UNLESS A VERBABLE WARNING AND THREE WRITTEN NOTICES ARE GIVEN. COMPANY POLICY SAYS A EMPLOYEE CAN BE LET GO FOR BREAK OF ANY COMPANY POLICY. HELP ME PLEASE

Click that "all caps" key off. It makes your posts hard to read.

If you're a union member, your union contract should prevail. Talk to your union rep.

Yes, company policy cannot over ride the contract. However, there is often a few things stated in the contract that a employee can be dismissed for such as; dishonesty, insubordination, stealing ect. These exceptions are usually in the same section as the disciplinary procedures. Contact your business agent right away, after all this is why you pay union dues.
