Default Have Clear Title but Still Owe on Loan

My question involves an auto loan or repossession in the State of: Texas
Here is my question.I have a clear title to my vehicle. The DMV made a mistake when I moved to Texas and they did not put the lien holder on the title when I went in to register it. The title was sent to me. ..It shows I own it free and clear. Can the finance company legally repo the car if i don't make the payments and they are not listed as the lien holder? If I want to sell the vehicle can I just sign and turn the title over to the buyer since there is no lien holder?
If so can they be held liable after the sale? What can the finance company do legally?

If you still owe on the car, yes you definitely need to continue to make payments on your loan. Your loan is not paid off.
