    Default Texas Emancipation

Typically, states permit parents to take the wages of their unemancipated children. States like California have modified that rule, due to the fact that there are so many kids in that state who have extraordinary incomes due to the entertainment industry, and so many of them have historically had their parents squander their earnings.

Did you read the other threads on Texas emancipation, so you can see what you need to establish? It sounds like you're a reasonably good candidate.
i just turned 16 on august 5 2008 and had been working but i had to stop because of school.my freshmen year my oldest sister told my mom i had a bf and i got beat up by my dad.my sophomore year i got kicked out of my hs and instantly moved to another because i was skipping.my mom n dad immediately began blaming my bf.[they didnt know about him]this year i am a junior, and i want to work.i went to an interview on tuesday and my mom thought i was going to see my bf[she still doesnt no bout him] and now she wont let me work.can she do that?can she take away my rights to work?i really want to emancipate myself because i have seen all of my older siblings go through alot of crap because of my parents.i just wanna leave my house as soon as i save up money and get a job.i have a weekend job but it pays 6.55..do i have a good enough excuse to emancipate myself?i was reading that i hav to be able to support myself without adult help,be able to pay bills, and medical expenses.wat do u recomend?

I recommend you stay in school so you don't limit your life to dead end jobs chirping "You want fries with that?"

    No, really.

You haven't got any "right to work". You are under the control of parents until you are 18. I suggest you get used to it, as you're not a candidate for emancipation.

I am so confused. How can parents blame someone they don't know about?

Not allowing you to see your boyfriend and not letting you have a job is NOT a valid reason for emancipation. In fact, not having a job pretty much puts the kibosh on emancipation right there.
