    Default Upcoming Court Date

My question involves a speeding ticket from the State of: Washington

Several months ago I got my first ticket for going 65 in a 50 zone on the 520 bridge . At the time I was 18 years old, now I am 19. There was no way for me to have gotten around the fact I was speeding so I selected to mitigate the charge rather than to contest it.

My court date is on Thursday in Issaquah and ideally, I would like to get the ticket deferred. My question is what I should and should NOT say to the judge? I never stepped foot in a court of law so please give whatever advice you can.

    Thank you!

    Default Re: Upcoming Court Date

You could try something like: Your Honor, this is my first offense and I would like to request a deferral. Thank you.

    Good luck,
    Barry
