Unhappy Car in Repossession - Just Got Title in the Mail

My question involves an auto loan or repossession in the State of: California

I have not made payments on my car in 2 mos due to not having enough money- i have had the car for a year and a half & still owe 20k, the loan is through Golden1 credit union & they only attempted to call me 3-5 times total about the car, next my husband said someone came by with a tow truck asking for me, a week later i got the title in the mail made out to me or my husband. What does that mean? I have no idea what to do. Can I sell the car? Do I keep the car & get sued later for the balance? Can they still Repo it? (I am also a new homeowner if that matters) Thanks for any info- im lost!

You mean you got a copy of the title? A new title with no lien showing? A discharge of lien?
