Default Cited for the Wrong Violation

My question involves a traffic ticket from the state of: California
I recently rec'd a ticket for unsafe speed (vc 22350). I read the definition of the code and no where does it mention exceeding the speed limit. I am not guilty of vc 22350. The officer should have written a ticket for exceeding the speed limit (vc 22348) as I was, indeed, exceeding the speed limit. Am I missing something in the definition or should I fight the ticket? I believe I have a good defense for not being guilty of the violation I was cited for. Sorry this wasn't in the "speeding ticket" section. For some reason I was logged out every time I tried to access the corect forum.

Default Re: Officer Used Wrong Vehicle Code

    Read 22351.

22350 is the basic speed law. As per 22351, you are in violation of 22350 if you exceed the posted speed limit unless you can show by competent authority that you did not violate the provisions of 22350.

Maybe you should provide all the details of your ticket.
