My question involves bankruptcy in the state of: Pa.
I filed for bankruptcy in 2007 and was discharged in 2008. I had an account with citibank which was included in the banruptcy. A collection agency that they sold it to in 2007 didnt have anything on my credit reports. I have 2 reports about 3 weeks apart showing the collection agency not on my credit report then the next one they were. This happened 5 months after the bankruptcy was discharged which is illegal to put an account onto my credit report after discharge. I am asking for 2 things. 1 does anyone know where to find in writing where it states its illegal to put anything onto a credit report other then changing account ALREADY on there to read included in bankruptcy. And next is this a sueable item? I never sued anyone in my life and would not normally think about it but they wont remove the item. My bankruptcy lawyer only handles bankruptcies and wont deal with violations that occur. Should I talk to another bankruptcy lawyer or a consumer lawyer? Thanks for any help.
