Default US Citizenship Interview After a Shoplifting Charge

I have a situation while applied for my Citizenship application as
    follows:
I have received my interview letter for USCIS( form 797C) .
Yesterday I have received a letter from USCIS indicating that FBI
background check using my finger print has revealed that I have an
arrest record. So I have to bring
    a) Certified or original copy of arrest record
    b) Court Dispositions showing how it has been resolved

    at the time of interview.
That reminds me an incident during in 1996 in PA I have been charged for "Shop Lifting" due to a misunderstanding. I have received a court copy for fine (around $200).
Unfortunately I have to go back to my home country imidiately for a family emergency . So I have called the court and asked what to do and they have advised me to pay the fine and plea guilty since I am leaving the country soon and everything will be fine. So I did it.

I was not aware of it as an "arrest" and have not mentioned in my
application.I don't have any paper works about it with me. Currently I am a permenent resident since 2001.
What should I do? Pl. advise

You should answer all of their inquiries honestly, and should provide all of the documentation they have requested.

If you entered a guilty plea, you were convicted of the charge.

As they may consider this to be a fraudulent omission, it makes sense to consult an immigration lawyer.

Anytime when you have to go to court, that is either arrest or citation. Especially since you plead "gulty" and paid the fine, you were convicted. Contact the Court Clerk or Court Record Office of PA that you were arrested and paied the fine. They have all the records of police report, court record and fine payment. You can get the certified copies of all your records.

Do I have any chance of getting approval for US Citizenship If I submit paperwork?
What are the possible consequence in my case? Can they revoke my GC?

    Pl. advise.

Do you think Withdrawing my application can provide me a better chance. I mean I can withdraw my N-400 Appl. and later before my GC expires , I can go for renewing it. Is that good option in my case?

You can't unring a bell. The USCIS will want answers to its questions, whether now or later.
