Default What To Do While Waiting For an Unemployment Hearing

My question involves unemployment benefits for the state of: Florida

I was accepted for unemployment benefits shortly after my employer dismissed me. Several months later I received a document stating that my beneifts were denied due to a hearing. I never received any notification of any hearing that I was supposed to attend. I filed an appeal and had another partial hearing after several months of waiting for rescheduling. We ran out of time so they had to have a recess until next time when they reschedule which will take a long time.

The reason I was dismissed is due to harassment after filing a workers compensation claim after being injured on the job. My former employer would then write up papers with false accusations and make me sign them under duress. My employer tried everything to make me not get unemployment. They even went as far as sending documents a day before the hearing so I would only get them a few hours beforehand.

Do you have any advice for me?

Do you know of a way for me to continue to recieve benefits while I wait? I am running short on cash.

You go to hearing tell the truth provide any evidence you have and hope state sees it as you do

My problem is that I am not getting benefits and am out of money at this time.

I already made sure to look up State Statutes and review previous cases.

What is it you want to hear? You filed an appeal thats all you can do. You can look into any state program for assistance if your concerned about, shelter etc.

In certain cases people have been granted umemployment compensation when they were destitute even when there was an appeal underway. What I want to know is how to go about doing it

Whether or not benefits can be granted during the appeal process is state and situation specific. There is nothing anyone here can tell you to make it happen. All you can do is ask the UI office and see what they say. We can't provide any way for you to force them to grant them.
