    Unhappy Parents Rebelling Against Emancipation

My question involves emancipation laws for the State of: Washington

Me and my sister are trying to get emancipated, but when my parents found out they emptied out our bank accounts shut off our phones. Were on complete lock down. We have an apartment and a car, but now that all the money is gone can .we still gt emancipated? We have rent splitting between four people. We are attending college 2 years early, and are honor students. We are trying to get jobs but our parents will not let us, and now are refusing to let us attend college too. What should we do? Please help. Any Advice?

Learn to get along with your parents and move out when you're 18.

No, there aren't any special exceptions.

The law is pretty stiff here:

    (1) The court shall grant the petition for emancipation, except as provided in subsection (2) of this section, if the petitioner proves the following facts by clear and convincing evidence: (a) That the petitioner is sixteen years of age or older; (b) that the petitioner is a resident of the state; (c) that the petitioner has the ability to manage his or her financial affairs; and (d) that the petitioner has the ability to manage his or her personal, social, educational, and nonfinancial affairs.

    (2) A parent, guardian, custodian, or in the case of a dependent minor, the department, may oppose the petition for emancipation. The court shall deny the petition unless it finds, by clear and convincing evidence, that denial of the grant of emancipation would be detrimental to the interests of the minor.

Your parents not letting you go to college early is not going to be enough for the court to decide that denying the petition is detrimental to you. If your parents object, it's done. Game over.
