Default Credit Report Entries After a Chapter 7 Discharge

My question involves bankruptcy in the state of: New York.

I file for BK early this year and was discharged about 2 weeks ago.

I have a few questions, I'll like to ask and get some answers to.

    1) After the discharged, am I entitle to a free credit report?
    2) After the discharged, are the creditors removed, or just showed up as paid or discharged, etc...?
    3) If creditor are still showing a balance what is the best way going about getting it removed/stopped?
    4) If an account is over 7 years, can I request to have it removed, and will it be removed?
    5) After the discharged, is there anyway to get the creditors removed from my credit report?

    Thanks in advance guys.

    Mike

Once each year, you can get a free credit report from the major bureaus - http://www.annualcreditreport.com/ .

No, your past creditors don't disappear from your credit report merely because you went bankrupt. If there are inaccuracies in your credit report after the bankruptcy, or debts appearing that should have aged off, dispute them.

I try but it says to call them or request it by mail. I try calling but I can't get in touch with a live person. I didn't recall place a freeze on it either. So I don't know why I have to call. I'll try calling again though.

    Thanks
