Default Proof of Family Ties to the UK

Proof of family ties to the UK
I am getting all my documents in line to go for an interview for a B2 tourist visa to the states. I was just wondering, in what way should I prove my family ties to the UK?

Is simply a list of names and addresses sufficient, or should I get recent copies of utility bills, etc with family names on?

Also, my reason for visiting is to see my brother in the states - he's just had a baby and is a lawful permanent resident. He has been there for 16 years. My Mum moved to the states about 7 months ago, because my stepfather is American and they wanted to leave England.

My Dad lives in Australia! So, as you can see there isn't much family here, apart from my younger sister, uncle, aunt, cousins and grandma.

Do you think it will be detrimental to my application that most of my family lives overseas? Should I not mention the fact that my Mum and Dad don't live here? I don't want to lie if asked!

I have been in my current job for 2 years and they have agreed to give me a 6 month period off and they will confirm that I am returning to my job after the agreed period.

I also have sufficient funds to support myself and letter of invitation from my brother, who is responsible for my room and board in the US.

So I think I have enough evidence. I'm just worried about the family thing.

    Any thoughts...?

Your answers are much appreciated. Thank you in advance!!

This will be very helpful for you. Probably more helpful than then list of addresses of family members, but take that along, too.

Do you own property? Take the deed. If you rent, are you continuing to pay rent while abroad? Take the rental agreement.
