Your aiding someone to avoiding court and facing charges for a crime!? Then you want to know if you have done anything wrong!?
Forgive me if I sound stupid, but as the charge was only a misdemeanor and she is my wife, I thought simply purchasing a ticket wasn't illegal. This is why I asked.
I have not given it to her yet. My effort began when a local attorney said the helping an immigrant like this was not a problem for me. It is not my decision not to return to court, only my money to help.
So, by hearing your comment, I guess you do not agree with the opinion I received earlier.

    Very Concerned

Your helping someone leave the country before they face a judge on criminal charges! How do you see that as legal!?

I don't pretend to undertand the law. It seemed like helping to reduce court costs, detainment cost and then getting the individual to the location the government wanted them was a good thing to do.
Your advice indicates my assumptions were wrong.
I'll need to get the ticket refunded. If she continues to desire this approach - she's on her own. This make me very sad.
