Default Hoping to move out of state with son

I have been reading through this forum, but I still want to ask for myself. I live in Michigan and I have a 5 year old son. I was never married to his father but we did go through the Friend of the Court system and we have a custody agreement. We have joint legal custody, I have the sole physical custody. I would like to move out of state in about a year from now. I will be getting married before we leave Michigan.

I guess my question is, what are the chances of this going through? The father will definitely not agree to it, however in my opinion it's in the best interest of my family (not that it matters to the court). I have had excellent luck in dealing with the FOC, but I have never gone up against something like this.

From reading the forums it would appear that it's not an easy task to get the court to allow it. So my second question for aaron is, I saw that you live in Michigan...can you recommend a good lawyer?

    Thanks so much!

In the Detroit area? I list some Wayne County family lawyers here.
