Question Does a Child's Pregnancy Affect Child Support?

My question involves child support in the State of: my sister is 16 years old and is now 7 months pregnant, my father is furious and I was wondering if since shes 16 and pregnant does he still have to pay the support? She lives in florida and me and my father live in maryland.

thanks for your time and help

I do not see that her pregnancy would have any bearing on his obligation to pay child support--payment of child support is not "fault" oriented.

It is, however, worth noting that there will be NO change in your father's support.

In other words, he is under no financial or legal obligation to support his grandchild.

The unborn baby HAS parents that have to support him/her....your sister and her presumed boyfriend.
